about
Paper moon photos were the most popular souvenir photos in America in the early 1900s. Despite falling out of favor some time in the mid 1900s, they continue to show up in popular culture from time to time. I predict they will become popular again in the coming years thanks to the lovers of the whimsigoth aesthetic.
But, even if they don't gain a renewed popularity, paper moons are still one of my favorite themes in souviner photography, so I've created this pixel clique to keep their memory alive.
rules
1. Artwork must be pixel art. No tooling. Strictly NO AI.
2. Pixels must have a transparent background.
3. Bases are provided (see below) but are not required to be used. 4. There is no strict size limit, but I do ask that you keep your pixels around the same size as the provided bases.
5. You can have as many people/creatures/characters in your pixels as you want. Just beware of the size of the overall artwork.
6. I shouldn't have to say this, but hate of marginalized peoples/comminities will not be tolerated. That being said, I am not accepting any Harry Potter related pixels. Ever.
7. When displaying your pixel on your own website, please be sure to link back to the clique with the button found on the side bar. If you display your pixel elsewhere (deviantart, etc.) just link to the clique in the description in any way that's easiest for you.
8. If you adopt any pixels found here, please host them on your own site and link back to the original creator. If their site link is dead, just link back here.
